Upcoming Adjustment to Non-Resident Library Card Fee
Beginning March 1, 2026, the annual non-resident library card fee will increase from $40 to $50.
This is the first increase in over a decade. After reviewing operating expenses and long-term sustainability, the Library Board approved this modest adjustment to help maintain strong collections, digital access, and community programming.
North Sioux City residents fund the library through local property taxes. The non-resident fee helps extend access beyond city limits while ensuring continued responsible use of public resources.
