All About Telescopes & Our Spectacular Solar System

All About Telescopes: This is one of two presentations Pastor Gary Fugman, Northeast Nebraska Astronomy Club, will present. He will describe the history of telescopes in the field of astronomy, types of telescopes and their qualities and sources to purchase astronomical telescopes. Gary will have a quality yet economical astronomical telescope for you to experience its operation and view distant objects.
Our Spectacular Solar System: The second of two presentations by Pastor Gary Fugman. You will experience a lively discussion of phases of our Earth’s moon, lunar and solar eclipses (including the August 21, 2017 total solar eclipse), and the inner terrestrial planets and outer Jovian planets. Images of our Solar System’s planets will be shown as captured by large telescopes and space probes. Pastor Gary, Northeast Nebraska Astronomy Club, will also describe brilliant comets, the changes they endure and the nature of their orbits.
