Mission Statement

The North Sioux City Community Library strives to provide timely access to materials and services helping city and area residents, of all ages and nationalities, obtain information to meet personal, professional and educational needs.

 

The library also strives to promote lifelong learning in an atmosphere that is welcoming, respectful, and businesslike.

Monday        10 am - 6 pm
Tuesday        10 am - 6 pm
Wednesday  10 am - 6 pm
Thursday      10 am - 7 pm
Friday           10 am - 5 pm
Saturday       10 am - 2 pm
Sunday Closed
Computer Lab closes half hour before closing time.

We are closed on all major holidays including:

New Years Day,

Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Presidents' Day,

Memorial Day (and preceding Saturday), 

Independence Day, 

Labor Day (and preceding Saturday),

Native Americans' Day,

Veterans' Day,

Thanksgiving Day (and following weekend),

Christmas Day

About Us

 

    We have a collection of over 24,000 items, which includes DVDs, audiobooks, magazines, and fiction & non-fiction books for all ages. With your library card you can download free eBooks and audiobooks from Overdrive.

    Our  computer lab has public access computers with free high-speed internet. You may also bring in your portable devices to use our free wireless internet.

    The library subscribes to the Sioux City Journal, Argus Leader, Dakota Dunes/North Sioux City Times, and Southern Union County Leader Courier.
