Come spend an hour at the library (Adults Only!) making a seasonal craft. Reserve your spot because limited space is available.

Diaper Drive

October 1-31

The North Sioux City Community Library will be collecting donations of unopened, disposable diapers and wipes for the Sioux City Baby Closet during the entire month of October.

The Sioux City Baby Closet provides free baby clothing and other baby items to parents from the Sioux City region who are in need. The Baby Closet has been open in Sioux City since August 2012, and is open once a month. Parents can come in and select outfits and other items free of charge in a shopping-style environment.

Everything in The Baby Closet has been donated by members of the community. We accept donations of new or gently-used baby clothes sizes newborn to 2T and also baby gear (shoes, blankets, toys, playpens, high chairs, etc.) The library is collecting donations of diapers and wipes, but if you would also like to donate any clothing, accessories, or gear, please contact coordinator Alecia Bowers for pickups. 605-610-9562

Please help the library keep Siouxland and the surrounding area babies dry, clean and healthy! If you are able to donate packages of diapers or wipes, please bring them to the library in the month of October.

Thank you and for more information please call the library at 605-422-2366.

The NSCC Library is pleased to announce a new partnership with, one of the nation's top sites for driver's license practice tests.

The new service includes free tests, written specifically based on the state DMV materials, and is the only site of its kind to include accessibility tools that allow users to hear selections read aloud, make them into MP3s, translate pages into other languages, magnify text, and mask selections of the screen for greater visibility on driving practice tests. Story Time

Wednesdays & Thursdays

10:30 AM

Newborns - 5 year olds are invited to story time. We will be reading stories, making crafts and finish with a dance party! Check out our Facebook to see what's planned for this week. Parents and guardians please stop into the library to register before hand, this way we will be prepared to have enough crafts for all.

2015 Reading Challenge

Join the NSCCL staff and fellow patrons in taking the 2015 Reading Challenge. Be challenged this year to read a book that became a movie, a book based on a true story, a book from your childhood, a book you started but never finished, etc. The books must be read in 2015 to count and each challenge must be a different book. Once the challenge is completed, bring in your paper to share. We would love to see what you read, what surprised you and what book was a struggle to get through but you did it! Pick up the 2015 Reading Challenge sheet at the library and explore some new reads this year!
