Upcoming Events at Your
North Sioux City Community Library:
The NSCCLibrary is pleased to announce “Intrepid Coalescing,” a collaboration by emerging artist Brian Joel and national award-winning writer Paula Bosco Damon, both longtime North Sioux City residents. The exhibit will be on display for public viewing through January 31 at the Library.

Presenting a wide body of paintings, prints and poetry in this traveling show, “Intrepid Coalescing” is a courageous attempt by the Damon’s to marry distinctively diverse perspectives of their journey together, spanning nearly 50 years.
While not a literal chronology of their union, the couple bravely and tenderly articulates life’s understory. The profound subtlety of poetry as an overlay to the synergies of art making offers a thought-provoking and passionate reckoning.

This free event is for seniors 55 and older and will take place at the senior center. If you have any questions, feel free to give either the senior center or the library a call.

Next Showing: on February 14th. Check back here a week beforehand to find out what the movie is. Or check facebook events for the title.

We are happy to introduce after school LEGO Club! On the last Monday of every month from 4:00-5:00pm, we invite all 1st-6th graders to the library to build and create with LEGO blocks. Each month kids will have the opportunity to build something new based on a theme. It will start as a monthly club that has the possibility of going on a more frequent basis (once a week, twice a month, etc.). Due to limits in space and LEGOs, we will cap the class at 20 participants. Please preregister your children using the following link:

Does the above time not work for your kiddos? We'd love to hear a new time/date suggestion! Please call the library at 605-422-2366 for more questions, suggestions, or comments.
